The birth chart is a multidimensional map with many layers of meaning. The most popular and obvious layer is to read the dynamics of your conscious personality, represented by the sun and moon positions. But the birth chart also holds the patterns of your subconscious and collective-unconscious or past-life imprints. This is symbolized by the positions of the most distant planets, Pluto and Uranus and the lunar nodes. Peering into this layer adds deep insight and understanding to your life, karma and soul evolution. It reveals the inner healing and transformation work your soul came here to do in your lifetime. Consciously working with this layer makes astrology a transformational and evolutionary process. During a session we can go as deeply into this layer as you like.
Your birth chart is calculated using
– the 13 zodiac signs (including the Ophiucus star sign), – the sidereal locations and true variation in sizes of the zodiac constellations (the sky, as it is) and
– the placidus house system (12 equal houses, representing earth time).
-When appropriate, the positions of Sirius, the Pleiades and the Galactic center are considered (and a few other stars as well)
-The sidereal constellation divisions are based on astrologer Athen Chimenti’s midpoint system.
(It takes about 20min-40min to prepare a chart for a session.)
Your Birth Chart
Your birth chart is a ‘snapshot’ of the planet and star positions at the moment of your first breath. It is a personal, symbolic, energetic and multidimensional map that can guide you to deeper self-understanding and purpose. It is your cosmic blueprint. It shines a light on your potential and your challenges. It can can reveal insight and guidance to questions such as: How can I grow from here? What aspects of myself shall I explore, accept, transform, release?
As a multidimensional map, the birth chart has many ‘layers’ to look into. For example one layer would be to explore current life personality and talents. Other layers could be soul purpose, career or past life/karmic/trauma imprint etc. For this reason, a sidereal astrology reading can be more suited to your personal needs and questions when it is a collaborative process. Your life experiences, questions and perspectives are important and applied to Prana’s understanding of the patterns in your birth chart.
And, as a multidimensional map the birth chart is nothing more than that, a map. It does not seal your destiny, it simply describes an energetic landscape. Your freedom of choice (choice of action and choice of interpretation) is what defines the power of your chart.
